GENERAL PATRICK K. GAMBLE

Gen. Patrick K. Gamble entered the Air Force in 1967 through the four-year Reserve Officer Training Corps program at Texas A&M University. He flew 394 combat missions as a forward air controller in the O-1 Bird Dog in Vietnam. He has commanded a fighter squadron and three wings, he was deputy chief of staff for air and space operations, Headquarters U.S. Air Force, the Pentagon, Washington, D.C. and Commander, Pacific Air Forces, Hickam Air Force Base, Hawaii.  PACAF Commander July 1998 – April 2001.

GENERAL CARROL H. “HOWIE” CHANDLER

Gen. Carrol H. “Howie” Chandler entered the Air Force in 1974 after graduating from the U.S. Air Force Academy. He has commanded a major command, numbered air force, two fighter wings, a support group and a fighter squadron. His staff assignments include tours at Headquarters Pacific Air Forces, the Pentagon, Headquarters U.S. Pacific Command, Headquarters U.S. Military Training Mission in Saudi Arabia and Headquarters Allied Air Forces Southern Europe. His last assignment was in the Pentagon, Washington, D.C., as Vice Chief of Staff.  PACAF Commander November 2007 – August 2009.

 

GENERAL HERBERT J. “HAWK” CARLISLE

Gen. Herbert J. “Hawk” Carlisle graduated from the U.S. Air Force Academy in 1978. He has served in various operational and staff assignments throughout the Air Force and commanded a fighter squadron, an operations group, two wings and a numbered air force. The general is a joint service officer and served as the Chief of Air Operations, U.S. Central Command Forward in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. During that time he participated in Operation Restore Hope in Somalia. He also participated in Operation Provide Comfort in Turkey and Operation Noble Eagle. General Carlisle served on the Air Staff as Director, Operational Planning, Policy and Strategy, Deputy Chief of Staff for Air, Space and Information Operations, Plans and Requirements, and twice in the Plans and Programs Directorate. He also served as, Director of Legislative Liaison at the Office of the Secretary of the Air Force, the Commander of Pacific Air Forces and his last assignment was Commander, Air Combat Command, Langley Air Force Base, Virginia.  PACAF Commander August 2012 – August 2014.

GENERAL GARY L. NORTH

Gen. Gary L. North  was commissioned in 1976 as a distinguished graduate from East Carolina University’s ROTC program. He has held numerous operational, command and staff positions, and has completed five long and four short overseas tours. The general has served two tours on the Joint Staff, serving as executive officer to the Director of the Joint Staff, and as Director of Politico-Military Affairs for Asia-Pacific, where he was responsible for regional planning and policy for the Asia-Pacific, South Asia and Central Asia regions. He has served on the Air Force Staff as the Chief, Joint Requirements Division and Deputy Director of Joint Matters, and as the J-3/Director for Operations, U.S. Pacific Command, Camp H.M. Smith, Hawaii. Prior to his current assignment, General North was the Commander, 9th Air Force and U.S. Air Forces Central, Shaw Air Force Base, S.C., comprising six wings in the 9th AF and eight air expeditionary wings in AFCENT, and served as the USCENTCOM Combined Forces Air Component Commander and service functional Air Component Commander for the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Gen North’s final assignment was as Commander of Pacific Air Forces at Hickam Air Force Base, Hawaii, August 2009 – August 2012.

 

 

CHIEF MASTER SERGEANT OF THE AIR FORCE GERALD R. MURRAY

Chief Master Sergeant of the Air Force Gerald R. Murray entered the Air Force in October 1977. His background includes various duties in aircraft maintenance, and as a command chief master sergeant at wing, numbered air force and major command levels. His assignments include bases in Florida, South Carolina, Washington and Georgia. The chief also served overseas in Turkey and Japan, and deployed in support of operations Desert Storm and Southern Watch. Before assuming his current position, he served as Command Chief Master Sergeant, Pacific Air Forces, Hickam Air Force Base, Hawaii from August 2001 – June 2002. He was appointed to the position of Chief Master Sergeant of the Air Force on July 1, 2002.

 

CHIEF MASTER SERGEANT HAROLD L. HUTCHISON, USAF

Chief Master Sergeant Harold L. Hutchison is the Command Senior Enlisted Leader for Headquarters, North American Aerospace Defense Command and United States Northern Command, Peterson Air Force Base, Colorado. His background includes various duties in security forces at wing, major command and joint command levels. Chief Hutchison also served as an operations group superintendent before becoming a command chief master sergeant at the wing, air expeditionary wing, numbered air force and MAJCOM levels. He has deployed numerous times supporting various missions throughout the Middle East. Chief Hutchison was the Command Chief Master Sergeant for Pacific Air Forces, Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii, July 2014 – October 2016 before assuming his current position.

CHIEF MASTER SERGEANT BROOKE P. McLEAN

Chief Master Sergeant McLean served in the United State Air Force for 30 years and served in many locations including Hawaii, Florida, Kuwait, England, Germany, Korea, Arkansas, Colorado, and California.  He spent the majority of his time in the Air Force as a logistics planner and was a key player in the largest deployment of Air Force Special Operations aviation assets prior to Operation IRAQI FREEDOM.  He also served as the senior enlisted leader in numerous organizations (including the 1st Special Operations Wing) culminating in his posting as the Command Chief Master Sergeant for the Pacific Air Forces with responsibility for over 43,000 enlisted, officer, and civilian Airmen at 9 installations in Japan, Korea, Guam, Alaska, and Hawaii between October 2009 – November 2012.
